I know I haven't posted art or journals or anything. Life's kinda slammed me in the face.

First semester is almost over. Finals are next week, hopefully I'll do okay. After it's done, I'm going to take a road trip to see my son and family, then back to school for summer semester. It's crazy and humid down here, but it must be something in the air. I can't imagine being anywhere else. That in and of itself is unusual; I'm almost always ready for the next place, the next thing. I'm doing something meaningful with my life, and I have purpose....

....and the monthly or so trips into NO aren't too bad either. XP

My birthday is next Tuesday, and I'm not sure how I feel. I don't feel as old as I will be, but I don't feel as young as I act. I'm just me. Why do I have to have a number define me?

As a dear friend recently told me, I have a very youthful (yet also old )spirit and maybe that's why I've been blessed with a youthful disposition and demeanor as well as looks.

I'm not taking any major undertakings this summer....but...when fall rolls around, I am taking Theatre classes, and plan to audition for a few plays. It's something I've missed a great deal. And then I'll also be taking classes I need for my Major (Management with a concentration in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship, for those who don't know) so don't tell me Good luck, but "Break a leg!"

Also, I have a small part time job over Memorial Day that 'might' allow some art time, so maybe I'll come back with a few pieces to throw up here so this gallery doesn't feel abandoned.
